PERFORMING AND VISUAL ARTS
The Music, Art and Drama departments have come together to form MAD, a society that offers opportunities to artistic students to explore culture and art.
The Music Department organizes and maintains the school band. Learners are involved in weekly practice sessions that culminate in performances to the whole school. Learners are taught and practice team-orientation, cultural appreciation, empathy and musical decoding.
The Art Department prolifically displays its creations in the School's Weekly Bulletin and at art exhibitions throughout the year, allowing students to showcase their work and the community to celebrate their achievements.
Each year, the Drama Department puts on a school play. Learners are asked to audition for parts or get involved backstage. This encourages learners to develop: self-confidence, imagination, cooperation, collaboration, communication skills, memory, and aesthetic and cultural appreciation.
