The Kisii School is a full boarding school.The Principal and most of the teachers are housed within the compound.

The school presently accommodates the students in eight dormitories (houses). Each of the existing dormitories/houses is managed by a housemaster.

Students are responsible for the daily cleanliness of their dormitory. Once a week they are required to undertake a thorough cleaning exercise then inspection follows every saturday morning.

Students are expected to be up not later than 4.00 a.m. and to have left the dormitory not later than 5.00 a.m. Every student should be in their respective sleeping place not later than 10.30 p.m. for a roll-call and are expected to have slept in their own beds not later than 11.00 p.m.

A house meeting is held every week presided by the house captain. Any issues of concern are raised so that they can be addressed appropriately.
